From
a participant [Madison
Flashenburg] of the March of the
Living:
.
I
just returned home on April
25th [2007] from
the March of the Living
...
.
We
went through ten weeks of
intense classes to sort of
prepare us for the camps,
even though one can never
truly be prepared.
.
Though
I know for every thing I
do, there are 100 things I
don't, I thought myself to
be very informed on the
Holocaust.
.
I
still do believe myself to
be educated on the
Holocaust, but this website
really blew my mind.
.
It
is, of course, difficult to
read. And I have trouble
understanding why I am
pushing myself to still
view more pictures, read
more stories...it brings
back so many emotions. To
see pictures from
Auschwitz, Birkenau,
Majdanek, Warsaw, Budapest,
Krakow...it's all just so
hard.
.
The
painful feelings continue
to run strong in my soul,
but after the March, I
felt such an intense
responsibility to educate
others, to pass on the
stories. I am a witness
now...
